April 4 (Mon.) / Million-Dollar Quartet (Broadway musical) at the Wicomico Youth and Civic Center. This rock ’n’ roll musical was inspired by a famed 1956 recording session that brought together Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, and Johnny Cash. The show includes 21 classic hits. April 8 – 10 (Fri. – Sun.) / Civil War on the Shore, Fort Whaley Campground, 11224 Dale Rd., Whaleyville, Md. See living-history displays and infantry and artillery demonstrations. Also, food, Civil War-era musical entertainment, and 19th-century church services. Weekend camping also available. Admission: $5.
April 9 (Sat.) / Spring Celebration, downtown Berlin, Md.  This year’s event is themed to Alice in Wonderland. Games, crafts, face-painting, screenings of the movie, carriage rides, strolling characters from the book, a Mad Hatter’s contest, and children’s tea parties. April 21 – 24 (Thurs. – Sun.) / Two one-act operas by Puccini: Suor Angelica and Gianni Schicchi; Holloway Hall’s Great Hall, Salisbury University.  Suor Angelica is a story of redemption and mercy. April 22 – 24 (Fri. – Sun.) / Ward Foundations World Carving Competition at the Ocean City Convention Center. See more than a thousand beautiful waterfowl carvings in many sizes and styles, and purchase art, jewelry, and other items from a host of vendors. April 23 – 24 (Sat. & Sun.) / Pork in the Park at Winterplace, Salisbury. Great food, music, multiple bounce huts for children, and events for pets. New this year: hot-air balloon rides. Sat., 11 a.m. – 10 p.m.; Sun., 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. Tickets: Adults, $3; kids 12 and under, free.
