Buyers Agency: What is it, Misconceptions and How The Process and Works

Are you confused on the whole relationship of an Agency when buying a house 🏠 or buyer’s agency, as it’s defined in our terms, and how that process works?

A message 📣 from Agents Brandon Brittingham and @Rich Barr:

We’re going to unpack that process, because it’s pretty important, if you’re going to buy 💵 a house, to have an understanding of how this works. We touch on this specifically for Maryland.

We also touch on misconceptions about buyer’s agency and, when you want to buy a house 🏠, the process of how it works.

Also, when you go to buy a house, it doesn’t matter who the house is listed with. That one agent can help you look 👀 at anything that’s out there. Again, another huge misconception.

So a PSA and FYI for anyone out there that’s looking to buy 💲 a house, the most important step is to get your own representation, right? And hire somebody, hire a professional that’s going to protect your interests, interview a few agents, pick the one you want to work with, and that’s where you start to process.

One thing that we always say is a really good agent is a great educator. They’re not a great salesperson. So if you feel like you get in front of somebody and they’re really educating you on the process and educating you on the market, you’ve probably got a good 👍👍👍 agent. But that’s probably step number one. And then that agent can guide you through what you do throughout the process.

Thank you guys for listening. We hope this information helps you on your home 🏠 buying journey and we would love to answer any questions you have and walk you through every step of the process!
