Its all about Christmas! Concerts, parades, plays, and festivals will make the season bright!


Now through Jan 3, 2016 / Winterfest of Lights at Ocean City’s Northside Park, 125th St., bayside. Board the Winterfest Express tram and travel through a fantasyland of brilliant displays. Dec 3 (Thurs.) / Berlin Christmas Parade along Main St., Berlin, Md. 7 – 9 p.m. Join the Christmas fun in America’s “coolest small town.”
Dec 4 – 6 &- Dec. 11 – 13 (Fri. – Sun., two weekends) / A Christmas Story: The Musical. The Clear Space Theater Co. of Rehoboth Beach brings a classic Christmas movie to the stage. Show times: 7 p.m. on Fridays & Saturdays, 3 p.m. on Sundays. Tickets: $15 – $30. 302-227-2270.
Dec. 5 (Sat.) / Salisbury Chorale with the Holiday Brass and Madrigal Choir in concert at Salisbury University’s Holloway Hall, 7:30 p.m. Tickets: $12 for adults, $9 for seniors, S.U. alumni, and all students. Purchase by phone at 410-543-6228 or online at
Dec. 6 (Sun.) / Salisbury Christmas Parade. The parade begins at 2 p.m. at the corner of Civic Ave. and Mount Hermon Rd. It proceeds west on Mt. Hermon to East Main St., ending near Ward St. The judges’ stand is in City Park, in front of the fountain. (Rain date Dec. 13). 
Dec. 7 (Mon.) / Snow Hill Christmas Parade at Snow Hill High School, 515 Coulbourne Lane, Snow Hill. 7 p.m. (Rain date: Dec. 9th.) 
Dec. 8 (Tues.) / Cirque Dreams Holidaze at the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center. “A cirque show, Broadway musical, and family Christmas spectacular all in one.” 7:30 p.m. Tickets: $47 – $77. 410-548-4911.
Dec. 9 (Wed.) / Holiday Jubilee at the Wicomico Youth and Civic Center, hors d’oeuvres, dinner, music, and dancing as friends from the area gather to celebrate the season. Hor d’oeuvres at 5:30 p.m.; dinner at 6:30 p.m. Tickets: $25 (includes food and non-alcoholic beverages. Guests may bring spirits.) Dec. 10 – 13 (Thurs. – Sun.) / The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee at the Black Box Theater, Fulton Hall, Salisbury University. This light-hearted Broadway musical follows the misadventures of six quirky adolescent spellers and three equally quirky grown-ups. Tickets: adults, $12; seniors, alumni, and all students, $9. Dec. 12 (Sat.) / Salisbury Symphony Orchestras Holiday Concert featuring tenor Dominic Armstrong. 7:30 p.m. at Salisbury University’s Holloway Hall. Dec. 18 (Fri.) / Third Friday Celebration on the Salisbury Plaza, 5 – 8 p.m. View the beautiful Christmas tree, and take advantage of last-minute sales at downtown shops. Dec. 18th is also “National Ugly Sweater Day,” so dare to be square and wear your worst woolen treasure. 
Dec. 31 (Thurs.) / Salisburys New Years Eve Ball Drop, downtown. Good cheer, noise, spirits, and free give-aways. Berlins New Years Eve Ball Drop, Main St., Berlin, Md. 10 p.m. – 1 a.m.
