Broadway Shows, “Big Game” Events, the Ocean City Boat Show, and Disney on Ice add fun to February.

Weekends in February / Family-friendly special events at the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad Visitor Center, 4068 Golden Hill Rd., Church Creek, MD (near Cambridge). All events are free. A documentary film and other events mark Black History Month. More info: 410-221-2290.
Feb. 4 (Sun.) / “Super Bowl Scramble” Golf Tournament at Eagle’s Landing Golf Course, 12367 Eagle’s Nest Rd., Berlin. Four-player scramble with a scoring format themed to football. A touchdown (eagle) scores 6 points, a field goal (birdie) is 3 points, an extra point is received per par, and a safety (bogey) is 2 points. Thirty percent of the “A” Player’s handicap is the team offense. Schedule: Tailgate Brunch Party at 9 a.m., “kick-off” at 10 a.m. $60 per player, includes greens fees, cart, tailgate party, plus “Throw the Bomb” on the third hole and Melanie’s Blitz Soup served at half-time. Feb. 4 (Sun.) / Big Game Buffet at the Green Turtle, 2318 N. Salisbury Blvd., Salisbury. Time: 5:30 p.m. until end of game. Tickets: $20 + fee. Purchase here:
Feb. 8 – 11 (Thurs. – Sun.) / Disney on Ice Presents Frozen at the Wicomico Youth and Civic Center, Salisbury. Times: Thurs. and Fri. at 7:30 p.m.; Sat. at 11 a.m., 2:30 p.m., & 6:30 p.m.; Sun. at 1 and 5 p.m. Tickets: $20 – $50 ($15 – $50 on Thurs. only).
Feb. 9 (Fri.) / Salisbury “Bike Party” Bicycle Ride beginning at the steps of the Government Building, downtown Salisbury. Wear red or pink to celebrate Valentine’s day, or black to mourn your broken heart. This is an easy two-hour night ride through public streets. Bike lights are recommended. Free. Start time: 6:30 p.m.
Feb. 9 (Fri.) / Junior Achievement’s Annual Ladies’ Night Out at the Fountains, 1800 Sweetbay Dr., Salisbury. Heavy appetizers, music, fashion show, auction, vendor tables, and raffles. Tickets: $35, includes one drink. Purchase at the door or online at More info.:
Feb. 10 (Sat.) / The Wiz at the Reign Event Center, 331 Civic Avenue, Salisbury. Ease on down the road as you enjoy Broadway’s urban retelling of The Wizard of Oz. Two shows only: 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Tickets: $20. Purchase online at, or by phone at 877-835-9844.
Feb. 10, 11, 17, & 18 (Saturdays & Sundays) / Valentine’s Carriage Rides on the Boardwalk, Ocean City, Md. Take a romantic ride with your sweetheart. Rides begin in the Inlet parking lot, near Thrasher’s Fries. 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. $40 per couple (includes a box of chocolates, a rose, and a glass of bubbly for the ride). Feb. 16 – 18 (Fri. – Sun.) / Seaside Boat Show at the Ocean City Convention Center. Approx. 350 boats on view and for sale. Plus electronics, accessories, marina reps, art, crafts, and a grand prize of a pontoon boat.  All proceeds go to area youth. Tickets: Adults, $10 (weekend pass, $15). Times: Fri., 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.; Sat., 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.; Sun., 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Feb. 18 (Sun.) / Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella, the Tony-award-winning musical, at the Wicomico Youth and Civic Center, Salisbury. Live orchestra, lavish costumes, “amazing transformations,” and beautiful songs, including “Ten Minutes Ago,” “Impossible/ It’s Possible,” and “In My Own Little Corner.” Tickets: $37 – $62. 410-548-4911.
Feb. 24 (Sat.) / Shore Craft-Beer Fest: Love on Tap at Seacrets, Ocean City. Live music and craft beer from 14 local breweries. Times: 1 – 4 p.m. Admission: $60.
