ing of jazz, R&B, soul, funk, disco, pop, Latin and Afro-pop. The dinner menu will in-

by poking fun at the things in his world that he finds funny. He intentionally keeps his

Oct. 19 (Sat.) / High Noon: Lynyrd Synyrd & Southern Rock Tribute (Dinner &
Show).
“High Noon is the East Coast’s premier tribute to Lynyrd Skynyrd and Southern
Rock, performing the ’70’s classic hits of Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Allman Brothers Band,
Molly Hatchet, The Outlaws, 38-Special, and The Marshall Tucker Band.” The dinner
menu will include Southern baked ham, fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, maca-

Oct. 26 (Sat.) / Quota Club Christmas Gift & Craft Show. This year’s show will fea-
ture 150+ unique crafters and local vendors with a variety of items for sale, including
wooden toys, ceramics, hats, scarves, candles, wreaths, flower arrangements, baskets,
jewelry, and other items. The show serves as the Quota Club of Salisbury’s annual fund-
raiser. All proceeds from the event are used to serve the local community, with a focus on
women, children, the deaf and hard of hearing, and the speech impaired. Attendees are
encouraged to bring new or gently used children’s books to donate to Quota’s Cops ‘N

Oct. 12 & 19 (Saturday.) / Halloween Happening at the Salisbury Zoo, 755 South
Park Drive, Salisbury. Dress up in your favorite Halloween costume. Follow our candy
trail, enter our family costume contest, and enjoy games. Time: 1 – 4 p.m. (Early access at

Oct. 15 (Tues.) / “Just Try It” Winter Sports presented by Wicomico Recreation and
Parks at the Wicomico Civic Center, 500 Glen Ave., Salisbury. “Just Try It” is a free
event that gives youth the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of a sport (basketball,
volleyball, wrestling, or karate) during short clinics instructed by representatives of local
youth-sport organizations. In this way, children can learn about a sport without commit-

Oct. 21 (Mon.) / “Coding for Kids” at the downtown Wicomico Library, 122 S. Divi-
sion St., Salisbury. For children ages 6 – 11. For children who want to learn to code or
who already know how. For fall and winter 2024, “Coding for Kids” will explore differ-
ent platforms and apps based on the Scratch engine. This program is open to all school-
