May 2 – 5 (Thurs. – Sun. ) / Ocean City’s Springfest. Four days of food, continuous musical entertainment, and arts & crafts. This year’s musical headliners: May 2 (Thurs.) / The Olivia Show: A Tribute to Olivia Newton-John. Time: 7 p.m. Tickets: $20 – $40. May 3 (Fri.)  / Lauren Alaina. Time: 7 p.m. Tickets: $25 – $75. May 4 (Sat.) / Everclear. Time: 7 p.m. Tickets: $35 – $75.  Springfest takes place on the Inlet parking lot. General admission is free. May 3 (Fri.) / Uncle Kunkel’s One Gram Band at the Pohanka Riverwalk Amphitheater, next to La Quinta Inn, Route 13, Salisbury. Time: 6:30 – 9 p.m. Free. May 4 (Sat.) / Maryland Coastal Bike Festival, featuring three scenic routes, each departing from the West Ocean City public boat ramp, located at the corner of Sunset Ave. and Gulf Coast Rd. May 4 (Sat.) / Berlin’s Jazz, Blues, Wine & Brews, Main Street, Berlin, Md. Enjoy five live musical acts, sample wines from different vintners, and purchase items from artists. Featured performers: The Rodney Kelley Jazz Experience, The Tribe Band, Mr. Rodney Smith, Lower-Case Blues, and Dr. J. and the Salisbury University Jazz Band. Admission is free. May 5 (Sun.) / Poplar Hill Mansion Festival, 117 Elizabeth Street, Salisbury. The day long festival will include War of 1812 re-enactors, live music, the Dover Country Dancers, educational displays, a children’s activity area with crafts and games, Community Curator’s Tent, and a May Pole to celebrate May Day. There will also be a Market Square with vendors selling handcrafted items on the street in front of the mansion. Tours of Poplar Hill Mansion will also be available throughout the day, and volunteers will be wearing period dress. Time: Noon – 5 p.m. Admission: free. May 6 (Mon.) / Green Hands Garden Club meeting at the downtown Wicomico Library, 122 S. Division St., Salisbury. Learn how to grow your own delicious fruits and vegetables. The club meets twice a month and covers everything you need to know to become a green-thumbed guru. Meetings are held in the library’s Teen Room on the first Monday of the month, and at Salisbury’s Riverwalk Park Edible Garden on the third Monday of the month.
