May 2 – 5 (Thurs. – Sun. ) / Ocean City’s Springfest. Four days of food, continuous musical entertainment, and arts & crafts. This year’s musical headliners: May 2 (Thurs.) / The Olivia Show: A Tribute to Olivia Newton-John. Time: 7 p.m. Tickets: $20 – $40. May 3 (Fri.)  / Lauren Alaina. Time: 7 p.m. Tickets: $25 – $75. May 4 (Sat.) / Everclear. Time: 7 p.m. Tickets: $35 – $75.  Springfest takes place on the Inlet parking lot. General admission is free. Times: Thurs. – Sat., 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.; Sun., 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. For information and a full list of entertainers, visit Parking info.: Park in the 40th St. Convention Center parking lot and take advantage of continuous bus transportation to and from the Springfest grounds. May 3 (Fri.) / Uncle Kunkel’s One Gram Band at the Pohanka Riverwalk Amphitheater, next to La Quinta Inn, Route 13, Salisbury. Time: 6:30 – 9 p.m. Free. This concert is the first of this season’s Friday-night concerts at the amphitheater. Food vendors PlayaBowls and Get Baked will be present.
May 4 (Sat.) / Maryland Coastal Bike Festival, featuring three scenic routes, each departing from the West Ocean City public boat ramp, located at the corner of Sunset Ave. and Gulf Coast Rd. Routes: The Island Ride, 17 miles, 8 a.m. start; Surf & Turf (Maryland’s coastal back country), 34 miles, 7:30 start; The Half Century, 50 miles, 7 a.m. start.  Details, fees, registration here:
May 4 (Sat.) / Berlin’s Jazz, Blues, Wine & Brews, Main Street, Berlin, Md. Enjoy five live musical acts, sample wines from different vintners, and purchase items from artists. Featured performers: The Rodney Kelley Jazz Experience, The Tribe Band, Mr. Rodney Smith, Lower-Case Blues, and Dr. J. and the Salisbury University Jazz Band. Admission is free. May 5 (Sun.) / Poplar Hill Mansion Festival, 117 Elizabeth Street, Salisbury. The day long festival will include War of 1812 re-enactors, live music, the Dover Country Dancers, educational displays, a children’s activity area with crafts and games, Community Curator’s Tent, and a May Pole to celebrate May Day. There will also be a Market Square with vendors selling handcrafted items on the street in front of the mansion. Tours of Poplar Hill Mansion will also be available throughout the day, and volunteers will be wearing period dress. Time: Noon – 5 p.m. Admission: free. Park in the Bethesda Methodist Church parking lot on the corner of Division St. and Isabella St. in the Newtown Neighborhood.
May 6 (Mon.) / Green Hands Garden Club meeting at the downtown Wicomico Library, 122 S. Division St., Salisbury. Learn how to grow your own delicious fruits and vegetables. The club meets twice a month and covers everything you need to know to become a green-thumbed guru. Meetings are held in the library’s Teen Room on the first Monday of the month, and at Salisbury’s Riverwalk Park Edible Garden on the third Monday of the month. Time: 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. Free.
May 10 (Fri.) / Mothers’ Day Paper-Quilling Class at Salisbury Art Space, 212 W. Main St., Suite 101, Salisbury. Learn paper quilling techniques and create a Mothers’ Day card. Ages 13+. Time: 4 – 6 p.m. Cost: members, $20; non-members, $25. All materials provided.
May 10 (Fri.) / Children’s Mental Health Awareness 5k Run/Walk & Family Night, Salisbury City Park, Beaver Dam Drive, Salisbury. Time: 5 – 8 p.m. Plus food, live music, petting zoo, games, and prizes.
May 14 (Tues.) / Paint Your Pet’s Portrait at Roadie Joe’s, 213 W. Main St., Salisbury.Sip and eat while you paint. May 16 (Thurs.) / Jay Leno at the Ocean City Performing Arts Center, 4001 Coastal Highway. Time: 7 p.m. Tickets: $79 – $125.
May 16 – 19 (Thurs. – Sun.) / Cruisin’ Ocean City at the Boardwalk’s Inlet parking lot and the O.C. Convention Center, 4001 Coastal Hwy. This popular annual car show features hot rods, customs, muscle cars, and classic cars. Plus, enjoy vendors, music, and celebrities Anson Williams and Donny Most from Happy Days (appearing on Thursday, Friday, & Saturday). May 17 (Fri.) / 3rd Friday Festival, on the Plaza, downtown Salisbury. This month’s theme is “Paw Prints.” Bring your leashed dog, learn about pet health, and enter your dog in a pet contest. Music, food, and vendors. Time: 5 – 8 p.m. Free.
May 18 (Sat.) / Berlin Spring Cruisers. Classic cars line the streets of downtown Berlin, Md. Time: 10 a.m.

May 22 (Wed.) / Menopause the Musical 2: Cruising Through ‘The Change.’ at the Ocean City Performing Arts Center, 4001 Coastal Highway. “A hilarious and heartfelt look at the joys of menopause and friendship, plus hot flashes, mood swings, memory lapses & more. Join us on a trip of self-discovery, backed by a new soundtrack of toe-tapping parodied greatest hits from the 70s, 80s, and 90s.” Time: 7 p.m. Tickets: $55 – $75.
May 27 (Mon.) / Memorial Day Parade, Berlin, Md. The parade begins at 11 a.m. at Stephen Decatur Middle School, 9815 Seahawk Rd.; the parade ends at Henry Park, 123 Flower Street, with music, food, vendors and games.
