Sundays thru September 3rd / Sundaes in the Park & Fireworks, Northside Park, 127th Street and the Bay, Ocean City. Enjoy live music and beautiful sunsets while enjoying ice cream sundaes (available for purchase) with your family. Additional free activities are available for children. Aug. 5 (Sat.) / Jolly Roger Day at Jolly Roger Amusement Park, Splash Mountain Water Park, and Treasure Mini Golf. Enjoy a reduced ticket price of $32 (normally $54.99). Ticket includes admission to Splash Mountain (10 a.m. – 6 p.m.), day rides at 30th St. (2 p.m. – 6 p.m.), and one round of Treasure Mini Golf.
Aug. 5 (Sat.) / Cardboard Boat Regatta at Nanticoke River Public Marine Park, 26 Market Street, Blades, Del. Watch cardboard boats try to paddle 200 yards to the finish line. Time: 11 a.m. Free.
Aug. 5 (Sat.) / Berlin Peach Festival, 208 N. Main St. at the Calvin B. Taylor Museum,  Berlin, Md. Peaches and peach treats for sale, plus pie-baking and pie-eating contests, live music, and a magician—all taking place on the lawn of the museum. Free shuttle sponsored by Ocean Downs Casino from Berlin Intermediate School. Time: 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

There are hundreds of categories for all ages to display their skills, such as cooking, gardening, woodworking, the arts, livestock, agriculture, and more. Aug. 7 – 11 (Mon. – Fri.) / White Marlin Open Fishing Tournament, 14th Street, bayside, Ocean City. Long known as the “World’s Largest Bill-fishing Tournament,” the Open has awarded over $95 million for catches of the gamefish that migrate up the Gulf Stream each summer. Aug. 7 – 11 (Mon. – Fri.) / Arts Camp for Kids (Ages 5 – 12) at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 115 St. Peter’s Street, Salisbury. • Learn about a new artist each day. • Make crafts about and in the style of the artist. • Visit with local artists. • Musical theater poetry dance segments. • Arts field trip (walking). • Arts review finale for family and friends. • All supplies plus snack time included. Aug. 9 & 23 (Wednesdays) / STEM and Robotics Club, downtown library, Salisbury. Bring your curiosity and imagination to play with Snap Circuits, littleBits, and more. Twice a month, the library turns into a STEAMing (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) play space where we experiment and tinker, using critical thinking, teamwork, and communication skills to code, build, and have fun. Ages 6 – 11. Time: 3:30 – 5:00 p.m. Free.
Aug. 10 (Thurs.) / Summerfest activities for kids and their families at the Indian Village Playground, 903 Manoa Blvd., Salisbury.  Sponsored by Wicomico County Parks and Recreation. Games, sports, food, and music. Theme: Water World. Time: 5 – 8 p.m. Admission: Free.
Aug. 10, 17, 24, & 31 (Thursdays)  / The Heart of Salisbury Foodie Tour, downtown. Sample, sip, and savor the flavors of the Eastern Shore on a guided walking tour. Explore and enjoy historic Salisbury one mouthful at a time while meandering through lively culinary destinations with a knowledgeable guide. Time: 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. Cost: $99.
Aug. 12 (Sat.) / The Ultimate Vegas Variety Show at the Ocean City Performing Arts Center, 4001 Coastal Highway. The Edwards twins from Las Vegas host a troupe of performers who impersonate Sonny & Cher, Billy Joel, Elton John, Neil Diamond, Lionel Richie, Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, Lady Gaga, Celine Dion, Rod Stewart, Bette Midler, Barbra Streisand, Andrea Bocelli, Tom Jones, and many many more. Aug. 18 – 20 (Fri. – Sun.)  / Wicomico County Fair, Winterplace, Salisbury. The fair will feature rodeo competitions, mounted shooters, 4-H & FFA competitions, livestock shows, a petting farm, pony rides, inflatables, axe-throwing, disc dogs, eating contests, car shows, fireworks, music, and local vendors.

Aug. 25 – 27 (Fri. – Sun.) / First Annual Ocean City Balloon Festival, 12637 Ocean Gateway, Ocean City. Enjoy the following: • hot- air balloons with tethered rides, fly-aways, and night glows. • Wine from Eastern Shore Triple Creek Winery. • Craft beer. • Live music. • Food trucks serving wood-fired pizza, oysters on the half, smoothies, pulled pork, and more. • Artists and crafters working in every medium. • Kids games, face painting, and inflatables. Aug. 26 (Sat.) / “Just Try It” Children’s Introduction to Sports at Winter Place Park, Salisbury. “Just Try It” is a free event that gives kids an opportunity to try out a new sport without having to commit to an entire season. Children (age groups 3 – 11) will have the chance to learn the fundamentals of track and field, field hockey, flag football, or soccer during short clinics instructed by representatives of local youth-sport organizations.
