Continuous thru Aug. 30 / Educational Activities for Children at the Newton Community Center, 306 Newton St., Salisbury. Activities include arts & crafts and Lego construction, coding and STEM-lab experiments, 3-D printing, cooking, chess, gaming, and sewing. Activities vary according to the day of the week. Wednesdays in July (except July 17) / The Heart of Salisbury Foodie Tour, downtown. Sample, sip, and savor the flavors of the Eastern Shore. “This guided walking tour is the best way to explore and enjoy our historic and beautiful city one mouthful at a time while meandering through lively culinary destinations with your dedicated and knowledgeable guide sharing fun and interesting tidbits about Salisbury’ s culture, history, architecture, and latest happenings.” Time: 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. Cost: $99.
Saturdays in July / Free Kids’ Craft at the Ocean City Center for the Arts, 502 94th Street. “Bring the kids and do something creative with them and for them. . . .Projects will change every week, so come more than once. No reservations needed. Free and open to all.”Time: 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
July 3, 17, & 31 (Alternating Wednesdays) / Adult Yoga at the Wicomico Library, 122 S. Division St., Salisbury. Join Soul Yoga’s instructor Lauren Gilmore for a free adult yoga class. Participants will learn the fundamentals of yoga while exploring how it can benefit them. Registration is not required, but is recommended. Participants should bring a towel or yoga mat. Time: 5:30 – 6:30.
July 4 (Thurs.) Fireworks and Music in Downtown Ocean City, on the beach at Caroline St. Schedule: D.J. Kutt, dance and patriotic music, 8:00 p.m.; fireworks, 9:30 p.m. Bring a beach chair and blanket and claim your spot on the sand for a unique display set to music. Free.
July 4 (Thurs.) Fireworks and Music at Northside Park, Ocean City, 125th Street. Enjoy Radio Ocean City with B.J. and Chrissy from 8:00 – 9:30, followed by a spectacular fireworks display. Bring a beach chair or blanket & arrive early.
July 4 (Thurs.) / Fireworks in Salisbury will take place at the James M. Bennett High School sports stadium on E. College Avenue. Gates open at 6:00 p.m.; fireworks begin at between 9:00 and 9:30.  In addition to the free community fireworks, there will be food, ice cream, music, and plenty of free parking.  Bring a blanket and lawn chairs.
July 5 (Fri.) / Visit with a Chincoteague Pony at the Salisbury Library, 122 S. Division St., Salisbury. The event will start on the children’s main floor so kids can learn how to interact with the pony. Next, the event will move outside. Children under 8 must be monitored by a guardian who is at least 13 years old to assure the safety and behavior of that child. Children ages 8 and older may visit the library independently provided they are able to care for themselves and are able to understand and follow the library’s behavior guidelines. July 5, 6, 10, 11, 12, & 13 / 2024 Hebron Volunteer Fire Department Carnival, Hebron Camp Grounds, Hebron, Md. Rides, games, and carnival food for the whole family. Times: Food stands open at 6:30; rides open at 7:15. Closing time is based on crowd size. Price: wrist bands for unlimited rides, $16; individual ride tickets, $2.
July 5 & 26 (Fridays) / “Friday Night Live” Free Concert Series presented by the City of Salisbury. July 5, Virginia Man folk-and-roll band at the Riverwalk Amphitheater, Route 13 next to the La Quinta Inn, downtown Salisbury. July 18 (Thurs.) / Lego Club at the downtown Wicomico Library, 122 S. Division St., Salisbury. For children ages 6 – 11. “Join us for a world of creativity and imagination. Get ready to build, design, and explore with fellow Lego enthusiasts.
