Nov. 11 (Fri.)  / Veterans’ Day Ceremony. Join in honoring military veterans at the Wicomico War Veterans’ Memorial, located directly in front of the Wicomico Civic Center, 500 Glen Ave., Salisbury. The ceremony includes patriotic music, prayer, and remembrance. Nov. 11 – 13 (Fri. – Sun.)  / Eastern Shore Classic Dog Shows at the Wicomico County Civic Center, 500 Glen Ave., Salisbury. The Salisbury Maryland Kennel Club will host two all-breed dog shows, two obedience trials, and two rally trials on Friday and Saturday. The Mispillion Kennel Club will host an all-breed dog show, obedience trial, and rally trial on Sunday. The shows are open to the public from 8 a.m.- 4 p.m. each day. Nov. 13 (Sun.)  / Kindness Palooza at the Salisbury Riverwalk Amphitheater, Route 13 next to the La Quinta Inn. Kindness Palooza will encompass the annual Dance for Kindness. Community organizations will have tables of information about their services and offerings, plus activities, games, prizes, and giveaways that all relate to kindness. The event will also feature live musical performances. Attendees are encouraged to bring a donation to the Maryland Food Bank, Beyond Your Walls mobile shower, or the Community Emergency Shelter program. All are welcome. Beginners will learn basic techniques while more advanced participants can use class time to work with a live model. Follow a paved path and walk past thousands of sparkling holiday lights and many animated light displays. Bill Engvall is a Grammy- nominated recording artist and one of the top comedians in the country. Bill can be seen regularly on the hit sitcom Last Man Standing playing Reverend Paul. Nov. 24 (Thanksgiving Day)  / Turkey Trot 5k at Pemberton Park, 5561 Plantation Lane, Salisbury. The race winds through Pemberton Park’s forests, meadows and wetlands. Refreshments and holiday pie will be available after the race.  Time: Check-in begins at 7 a.m. Participants may register on-site from 7:00 – 7:45 a.m. Race starts at 8 a.m. Registration fee: $35 for early registration; $40 after Nov. 15.
