Don’t listen to the media when it comes to real estate. Real estate is local and the media tells you things based on national data, and a lot of times it’s not dialed in information that they even know.
First and foremost to buy a house, you have to think about what works for you – Do you plan on being there for a while? Are you going to be stationary? Do you plan on moving? 
We’ve seen rents increase all over the U.S. pretty significantly, and especially here on the Eastern Shore 
So, in a lot of cases, it probably does make sense to buy a house if it makes sense for you from a lifestyle standpoint, because your mortgage payment is also going to be less than what you’re going to pay in rent. But that’s not necessarily the case for everybody. 
What we do is look at everything with you and try to help you evaluate your situation. We’re not going to sit here and tell you, yes, it’s a good time to buy, or not buy because it’s really tailored to you as an individual 
One of the things that we look at is, we assess where you want to be and look at where you’re going to be payment wise and what you’re already paying in rent, and then we help you back into what makes sense 
You’re hearing in the media that rates are high, but relative to the history of rates, they really aren’t.
The first house that I bought, I paid 9% interest. And you can do things like rate buydowns and things like that to help you with your payment, which are all things we can help you figure out!
