Sundays in July / The Salisbury Community Band in concert at the bandstand in Salisbury’s City Park. 7 p.m. Free. Bring chairs, and enjoy a musical tradition that dates to the late 1930’s.
Sundays in July & August / Sundaes in the Park with Fireworks, Northside Park, 125th Street, Ocean City. Sundaes and a free concert at 7 p.m.; fireworks at 9 p.m.

Mondays in July & August / Talbot Street Beach Fireworks, Ocean City. Show begins at 10:30 p.m. Free.
Tuesdays in July and August (except July 30) / Beach Dance Party, Caroline Street Stage and the beach, Ocean City. 7 – 9 p.m. Bring your beach chairs, blankets, and friends, and dance to a DJ’s music. Free.
Thursdays in July and August (beginning July 11) / Sunset Park Party Nights, Sunset Park, Ocean City.7 – 9 p.m. Sunset Park is located on S. Division Street on the bay. Admission to the park is free; beverages, including beer, are available for purchase. Bring their own seating.

July 4 (Thurs.) / “Red, White, and Boom” Fireworks at Wicomico High School Stadium, directly across from the Wicomico County Youth and Civic Center, Salisbury. Food vendors, music, and children’s bounce houses. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. Fireworks will begin at 9:15 p.m. Bring lawn chairs or blankets. Free admission; free parking in the Civic Center and Wicomico High School lots. (Rain date is July 5.)
July 4 (Thurs.) / Music and Fireworks in Ocean City. Two locations: On the beach at N. Division St. and uptown at Northside Park, 125th St. Live music at 8 p.m.; fireworks at 9:30 p.m. Free.

July 4 (Thurs.) / Shorebirds host the Hagerstown Suns, Shorebirds Stadium, 6:05 p.m. Fireworks after the game.
July 5 & 6 (Fri. & Sat.) / Hebron Firemen’s Carnival. Rides, food, and family fun, including the carnival’s famous oyster sandwiches. Kitchen opens at 6:30 p.m.; rides begin operating at 7:15 p.m. July 5th Fireworks at 9:30. Hebron Camp Grounds. General admission and parking are free.
July 12 – 14 (Fri. – Sun.) / Ocean City Tuna Tournament. Watch more than 100 boat crews weigh-in their tuna catches in hopes of winning huge cash prizes. (Last year’s winnings totaled $857,600.) Weigh-ins take place on Fri. and Sat. from from 4 – 8 p.m. at the Ocean City Fishing Center and the Sunset Marina. On Sunday, weigh-ins take place from 4 – 7 at the Ocean City Fishing Center only. Free to spectators; $1,000 basic entry fee for participants. (Additional fees apply when registering for additional prize categories.) For more information, visit
July 17 (Wed.) / Annual J. M. Tawes Crab and Clam Bake, Somers Cove Marina, 715 Broadway Ave., Crisfield, Md. Noon – 4 p.m. Tickets: $50 per person.

July 19 (Fri.) / Salisbury’s Third-Friday Celebration on the Plaza. Vendors, food, and live music. This month’s theme is “Moon Walk.” 5 – 8 p.m. Free.
July 20 (Sat.) / “You’re Going to Be Fine” lecture, Wicomico County Library, downtown Salisbury.
