 The Merry Month of May Welcomes Springfest in Ocean City and a Bunk with the Beastscampout at the Salisbury Zoo.

May 4  (Wed.) / Americas Sweethearts at the Ocean City Performing Arts Center. The New York-based musical trio celebrates a century of great songs. 7:30 p.m. Tickets: $35 – $50.
May 5 – 8  (Thurs. – Sun.) / Spring Fest, Ocean City. Arts, crafts, live music, and great food under four big tents at the Ocean City Outlet. Musical headliners include Dr. Ks Motown Review (Thurs. at 7 p.m.; tickets: $15 – $20); Sara Evans (Fri. at 8 p.m.; tickets: $25 – $49); Collective Soul (Sat. at 8 p.m.; tickets: $30 – $50). May 6, 13, 20, & 27 (Fridays) / The World War Tunes at the Blue Dog Cafe, 300 N. Washington St., Snow Hill, Md. Music from the “big band” era, sprinkled with lively comedy from the band’s members. 6:30 p.m. Reservations recommended. 410-251-7193.
May 7 (Sat.) / Princess Anne Street Fest, downtown Princess Anne, Md. Arts, crafts, Eastern Shore food, petting zoo, train rides, and dancing in the streets to live and DJ music. Special demonstrations of K-9 dogs, martial arts, and robotic teams. Five bicycles will be given away as prizes. Time: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Free admission.
May 13 & 14 (Fri. night – Sat. morning) / Bunk with the Beasts campout at the Salisbury Zoo. This overnight adventure includes a cookout, a guided tour, animal encounters, a night hike through the zoo, and a continental breakfast the next morning. Campers need to bring their own tents, sleeping bags, and flashlights. A limited number of tents will be available to rent for $25 each. Fun for families and scout groups. $30 per person. May 19 – 22 (Thurs. – Sun.) / Cruisin Ocean City. Come see more than 3,500 hot rods, muscle cars, and classics. Special guests: Steve Darnell of TV’s Vegas Rat Rods and Alexandra Paul from Baywatch and Christine. Events take place at the Ocean City Convention Center, at the O.C. Inlet, and along the Boardwalk. Hours: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., Thurs. – Sat.; 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., Sun. Boardwalk automobile parades take place Fri., Sat., and Sun. mornings from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. Classic-car auction begins at 10 a.m. on Thurs. and Fri. at the Convention Center. May 20 (Fri.) / Third-Friday Celebration, Downtown Plaza, Salisbury. Food, art, vendors, and live music. This month’s theme: Urban Artscapes.
May 21 (Sat.) / Puppet Show for Kids at NASAs Wallops Visitor Center, Wallops Island, Virginia. 11:00 – 11:30 a.m. Join Sam the Monkey and puppet sstronauts Jenny and Jeff as they go on an adventure in space. / At 2 p.m., same location, a separate program, Space Station Saturday, explores what’s happening now aboard the International Space Station.
May 30 (Mon.) / Memorial Day Parade and Festival, Berlin, Md. Bands, dance teams, military groups, food, and games. Parade begins at 8 a.m. at S.D. Middle School and proceeds to Henry Park.
