Nov. 7 – 11 / (Wed. – Sun.) / Eastern Shore Classic Dog Shows at the Wicomico Youth and Civic Center, featuring all-breed dog shows, obedience trials, and rally trials. Open to the public. Nov. 9 & 16 / (Fri.) / Guess What Trivia at Irish Eyes Pub and Restaurant, 105 Union St., Milton, Del. Free to play. Prizes awarded. Live, interactive trivia emphasizing clean fun.
Nov. 10 / (Sat.) / Storm Warriors 5-k Run on the Ocean City Boardwalk. Benefits Life Saving Station Museum. Sign-in and registration is at 8 a.m.; race begins at 9 a.m. $25. Go here to register:
Nov. 12 / (Mon.) Veterans’ Day Ceremony at the Wicomico Civic Center, Salisbury. The ceremony includes patriotic music, prayer, and remembrance. 11 a.m. Free.
Nov. 14 / (Wed.) / Sesame Street Live: Let’s Party at the Wicomico Civic Center, Salisbury. 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Tickets: $15 – $35. (Additional ticket available for the “pre-show experience” at 9:15 a.m. and 4:45 p.m. Pre-show tickets: $20.)
Nov. 15 – 18 / (Thurs. – Sun.) One Man, Two Guvnors at Salisbury University’s Black Box Theater in Fulton Hall. British slapstick, music, double entendres, and audience interaction are center stage in this Tony Award-winning play (recommended for mature audiences). 8 p.m.; 2 p.m. on Sun. Tickets: $3 – $12.
Nov. 15 – Dec. 31 / Winterfest of Lights at Ocean City’s Northside Park. Sip hot chocolate in the heated Winterfest Village pavilion, take a photo with Santa, and board the Winterfest Express tram to tour fairy-tale-themed exhibits. The one-mile journey travels past hundreds of animated lighted displays and a 50-foot Christmas tree. Times: Fridays and Saturdays, 5:30 -10:30 p.m.; other nights, 5:30 – 9:30 p.m. Tram tickets: $5 for those 12 and older; others, free.
Nov. 16 (Fri.) / Thunderstruck, America’s AC/DC at the Wicomico Civic Center, Salisbury. The band creates “Thunder from Down Under.” 8 p.m. Tickets: $25.
Nov. 17 (Sat.) / Kids’ Craft: Create Turkey Puppets at the Centre at Salisbury branch of the Wicomico Library. 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. Free.
Nov. 22 (Thanksgiving Day) / Annual “Turkey Trek” 5-k Run at Pemberton Historical Park, 5561 Plantation Lane, Salisbury. Run through Pemberton Park’s forests, meadows, and wetlands. (The course is mostly flat, with one or two small hills.) Refreshments and Thanksgiving pie will be available after the race. On-site registration: 7:30 – 8:00 a.m.; pre-registered runners’ check-in: 8:00 – 8:30 a.m. Race begins at 9:00 a.m. Fees: early registration, $25 (avail. through Nov. 18th); on-site registration, $30. Awards given for the overall male and female winner, for the best Thanksgiving costume and for first place in various runner categories.
Nov. 24 (Sat.) / Salisbury’s Winter Wonderland Tree Lighting in Salisbury’s City Park. Festivities will begin at 5 p.m. and will feature food trucks, free photos with Santa, and entertainment by Feet of Fire, Amp Music Group, and Beauty for Ashes.*F.
Dec. 2 (Sun.) / Salisbury Jaycee’s Christmas Parade. Watch from East Main St. and Mt. Hermon Rd. Begins at 2 p.m.
