Salisbury Hosts the National Folk Festival; Bikefest Roars into Ocean City

Sept. 6 (Fri.) / Bruce in the U.S.A. (Springsteen tribute band) at the Freeman Stage, 31750 Lake View Drive, Selbyville, Del. 7 p.m. Tickets: $25. Children under 12, free. Sept. 6 – 8 (Fri. – Sun.) / National Folk Festival, downtown Salisbury. Musicians, singers, and dancers will appear on multiple stages. Plus, a special family area will feature interactive games and other entertainment for young children. Parking and admission to all events are free. Sept. 6 – 8 (Fri. – Sun.) / Ocean City Sportsman Expo at the Ocean City Convention Center, 4001 Coastal Highway. Shop for everything related to hunting, fishing, boating, and the outdoor life. Sept. 7 – 8 (Sat. & Sun.) / East Coast “Grom Tour” Surfing Event, 36th St., Ocean City. The East Coast Grom tour is a youth surfing contest offering fun and prizes. Sept. 8 (Sun.) / Wheels and Wine Festival, Pizzadili Vineyard and Winery, 1683 Peach Basket Rd., Felton, Delaware. Open car show with wine, 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. Free admission to the public. Sept. 12 – 14 (Thurs. – Sat.) / Coastal Kids’ Consignment Sale at the Wicomico Civic Center, Salisbury. This event provides a safe, clean, organized marketplace for local families to sell and purchase high-quality, new or gently used children’s items. Savvy parents have been selling and shopping with Coastal Kids for 10 years. Free admission. Sept. 12 – 15 (Thurs. – Sun.) / Ocean City Bikefest. The largest motorcycle rally on the East Coast. Concerts, stunt shows, bike builders, vendors, food, and beverages at the Boardwalk, the O.C. Convention Center, and the Inlet. Admission: $45 per day; $80 for weekend event pass. (Add fee and sales tax. Convention Center admission is free.) Sept. 13 – 14 (Fri. & Sat.) / An Evening of Regional Performers and Storytellers at Wor-Wic Community College’s Guerrieri Auditorium. Listen to a tale, an experience, or a life-changing moment from local celebrities, actors, writers, and others. Sept. 19 -22 (Thurs. – Sun.) / Ocean City Sunfest at the Inlet. Arts and crafts vendors, food, kids’ activities, and music, including these headliners: Who’s Bad: The Ultimate Michael Jackson Experience (Thursday, 8 p.m.; tickets start at $10), Granger Smith (Friday at 8 p.m.; tickets start at $25), and Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue (Sat. at 8 p.m.; tickets start at $25.)
