Wicomico Memorial Park was established in 1938 and is named after the Maryland State Senate of Wicomico County. The park features a memorial to the fallen soldiers of the First World War, which includes the names of all Wicomico County residents who fought on the Allied side in that conflict. The memorial was erected in 1919 in partnership with the county of Wicomico, the Wicomico Lodge No. 166, and the Grand Lodge of Maryland. The park also features a 20-acre lake and beach, which are popular among visitors. The beach has lifeguards on duty during the summer months and is a great place to swim and relax.
